Zero new locally-transmitted cases of COVID-19 were recorded in WA overnight, however contact tracers are still working to track down 46 close contacts of a tourist who sparked the State’s latest outbreak.
The Premier took to social media to share the promising update Tuesday morning, which comes just days after people in Perth and Peel were forced to again wear masks amid new infections linked to a sick French backpacker :1618220100000,.
“WA Health has confirmed that, as of 10am this morning, WA has recorded zero new local cases of COVID-19,” Mr McGowan said on social media, with 4911 COVID tests conducted on Monday.
The total number of locally acquired cases related to the recent outbreak sits at ten, including the first case – Case 1,133.
